Latest Updates Chicago Fire Cast: Meet The Characters Behind NBC’s Hit Show

Eamonn Walker and Taylor Kinney are joined by Miranda Rae Mayo and David Eigenberg to form the Chicago Fire Cast. This NBC hit has been a ten-year-old success story.

Chicago Fire and its cast have kept its loyal viewers on the edge for over a decade. The show was produced by Dick Wolf, a veteran of this type of drama television series. This has resulted in spinoffs, including Chicago P.D. Chicago Med.

Chicago Fire’s cast includes familiar faces who have remained consistent through the eleven seasons. Even the stars who are new to Hollywood are making a name on this hit NBC series. Let’s take a look at the characters on Firehouse 51 and see how they work together.

Eamonn Walker as Battalion Chief Wallace Boden

Walker, who has been a part of the Chicago Fire cast from the beginning, plays the role of Battalion Chief Wallace Boden. He is the man responsible for Firehouse 51. Boden takes his job seriously and is fiercely protective of his team. He is not afraid to risk his life for his crew. In season 10, the Chief is promoted to Deputy Chief because of his devotion.

Taylor Kinney is Lieutenant Kelly Severide

Kinney, who has been a part of the Chicago Fire Department’s veteran cast since day one also plays Lieutenant Kelly Severide, Squad 3’s officer in command. Severide is a Chicago Fire Department veteran, his father was Fire Chief. His dedication and service showed that this was not a job Severide was given, but something he earned.

Kelly was charming at first, but he became a “ladies man” after he started dating Stella Kidd in season 5. They were engaged during season nine, and they officially got married in the finale of season 10.

David Eigenberg as Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann

Eigenberg is portrayed by Christopher Herrmann, a veteran Chicago Firefighter. Hermann is promoted from Lieutenant to Officer in Charge of Engine Company 51 by the seventh season. He is a father figure to his crew members, often coming to them in times of need.

Herrmann is more than a paramedic and firefighter. He has five children at home with Cindy Herrmann, his wife. He also owns Molly’s Bar, which is frequently featured on the Chicago Universe.

Joe Minoso is Firefighter Joe Cruz

Since season one, Minoso has played Joe Cruz as an integral member of the Chicago Fire crew. He was the product of a difficult upbringing in one of the most violent neighborhoods in Chicago. He spends much of his early years helping his brother get out of trouble.

Cruz was Truck 81’s truck driver from season one to season three. He has been a driver for Squad 3 since then. He marries Chole Alle in the eighth season. Season 10 sees the birth of their first child.

Christian Stolte is Firefighter Randy “Mouch” McHolland

Stolte is another senior Chicago Firefighter and plays the role of fan-favorite Randy McHolland. McHolland is simply known as “Mouch” by the crew. This combination of “man”, “couch,” and “man” signifies where and what firefighter is most well-known for, when he’s not on duty at the station.

Mouch is much more than what he seems. Mouch is the station union rep and sometimes a legal advisor. He is also co-owner of Molly’s bar with Herrmann. He married Sergeant Trudy Trudy Platt in the fourth season as part of a crossover character with Chicago P.D.

Miranda Rae Mayo as Firefighter Stella Kidd

Mayo might not be part O.G. Chicago Fire cast. But, fans fell in love with Mayo’s portrayal of Stella Kidd in season four. Kidd began her career as a firetruck driver. After passing her season nine exams, Kidd is promoted to Lieutenant.

Kidd is recently divorced when she joins Firehouse 51. She rekindles a love interest from a past relationship with Lieutenant Kelly Severide soon after. The two of them tie the knot at the end, proving that they must have been long-lost lovers.

Daniel Kyri is Firefighter Darren Ritter

Kyri is a new member of the Chicago Fire crew, and he joined the cast in season seven. Mouch recommended Ritter to the Firehouse, and he helped Ritter overcome some difficulties during a fire where he performed his first life-saving maneuver. Although Ritter has his moments of trouble, he is determined to follow the example of his uncle, who was a FDNY firefighter.

Alberto Rosende is Firefighter Blake Gallo

Rosende plays Blake Gallo, a new full-time firefighter who joins the Chicago Fire crew. Gallo first appeared in season 8. He is young and eager to join the Firehouse 51 crew. After the death of his family in a housefire, Gallo decided to become a firefighter.

Gallo was only 12 when this tragedy happened, but it ignited his interest in the military. He is driven to achieve his goals and always eager to get involved. Severide und Herrmann soon noticed this and became his mentors.

Kara Killmer is Paramedic Sylvie

Killmer was the Chicago Fire Cast’s Sylvie Bert during season 3. Brett was assigned to ambulance 61 and struggled to adapt to big city life. This reflected in her work. She eventually settled into her new life and was promoted to Paramedic In Charge.

She begins to date Matthew Casey, the show’s former captain, at the end of the ninth series. Their relationship changes when Casey leaves his job and moves to Oregon. The couple officially ended their relationship at the premiere of the new season.

Hanako Greensmith is Paramedic Violet Mikami

Greensmith, who plays Violet Mikami (the newest paramedic) is another new member of the Chicago Fire cast for season 8. Greensmith’s character is competitive and sometimes appears to be at odds with Gallo. They do eventually get together, however.

Chicago Fire’s 11th season officially premiered on September 21st. It was confirmed that a key cast member would not be returning. From seasons 1 through 10, Lieutenant Matthew Casey was played by Jesse Spencer. Showrunners confirmed recently that Casey may be gone.

It is not clear if the show will be renewed for another season, but it is one of the most watched series on the cable network. The network renewed the show three times in 2020. However, the network has not yet confirmed whether it will do so again.
